MANAGEMENT PROFILES

TED W. TRAUERNICHT

Ted W. Trauernicht is a managing member of Trauernicht & Evans and leads the firm’s Corporate Litigation Management Practice. Mr. Trauernicht uses his extensive knowledge of the litigation process to assist his corporate clients in conducting and managing their litigation. His litigation practice areas include business torts, class actions, consumer protection, contract disputes, director/officer liability, employment law, electronic discovery, post-judgment collections, securities fraud, shareholder derivative suits, and technology transfer litigation. He has over twenty-five years of experience in litigation, including lead counsel in complex business and high-profile cases. In addition, Mr. Trauernicht has devoted a significant portion of his practice to advising corporate clients on governance, contracts, and litigation strategy. He has also served as a magistrate judge presiding over civil and criminal matters.

Mr. Trauernicht obtained his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Nebraska and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Nebraska College of Law. He is licensed in California, Colorado, and Nebraska. He is also licensed to practice in the United States District Court for Central California, Colorado, Nebraska, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Court of Federal Claims, and has practiced in courts across the United States. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of California, the Denver and Colorado Bar Associations, and the Nebraska State Bar Association.

SONIA M. EVANS

Sonia M. Evans is a managing member of Trauernicht & Evans and has been successfully representing corporations and individuals in complex business litigation since 1993. Her litigation practice encompasses all types of business disputes with an emphasis on contracts, business torts, securities fraud, shareholder disputes, and director/officer liability. Ms. Evans also directs the firm’s Record Management and E-Discovery Practice where she advises corporate clients on managing their electronic information. She utilizes her extensive experience with complex discovery issues to place her clients in the best strategic and cost-effective position when litigation occurs.

Ms. Evans received her Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Juris Doctorate with honors from the University of Washington School of Law. She is a member of the Denver and Colorado Bar Associations and is licensed to practice in Colorado, the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
